Children and parents have been at Deen City Farm this summer as part of an initiative to get young people to connect with the environment.
The Grasshopper Project has been funded by Merton Council and gives children the chance to play and learn for free in the farm’s new education area next to the recently-built cob house.
Toys and resources have been chosen to stimulate children’s natural instincts to play.
Drop-in sessions run from Tuesdays to Fridays, 10am to 1pm, and the area is supervised – although parents must remain on site.
The area will be open until September 1.
