Environmental groups across Merton joined to promote their collective cause and celebrate the election of Britain’s first Green MP.
The event in Wimbledon Village on Saturday, June 19, even saw one Green Party supporter wear a Caroline Lucas mask in honour of the newly elected MP for the Brighton Pavilion ward.
Merton Friends of the Earth, Sustainable Merton and Transition Town Wimbledon were all represented on the day.
Auriel Glanville, co-ordinator of Merton Friends of the Earth said: “It was a great opportunity for green groups to get together and engage with the public.”
