Morden mosque hosts recording of BBC Radio 4's Question Time

A studio audience of more than 400 descended on the Bait-ul-Futuh mosque for a recording of BBC Radio 4’s Question Time on Friday.
It is the first time the show has been recorded in a mosque and attracted a panel including Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee and Transport Minister, Sadiq Khan MP.
Dr Basharat Nazir from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said: “The programme seemed to go very well and it was fantastic to see such a wonderful variety of people in the mosque.
“After recording, everyone was served a hot meal - it was a great way to publicise the mosque as an important community centre that’s open to everyone.”
Morden residents were allocated a third of the tickets, members of the mosque another third, and the remainder to those applying on the BBC website.
