Wimbledon’s canoe queen has joined forces with Olympic gold medal winner Dame Kelly Holmes to inspire sports stars of the future.
Olympian and former world champion Anna Hemmings took part in a training workshop in Manchester alongside double gold medallist Holmes last week.
The pair worked with 70 talented young athletes aged 13 to 21 on October 27 and 28, giving them guidance on team building, nutrition and handling the media.
Hemmings said: “Having been an elite sports performer, it was great to work with the next generation of up and coming stars and help them learn what it takes to reach the top in sport.”
The event was run by the DKH Legacy Trust, a charity set up by the former runner to develop talented young athletes.
