Ruby Wax is the latest big name to be added to the star-studded line up for this winter's Wimbledon panto Aladdin.
A global media storm has centred on the New Wimbledon Theatre since last week’s announcement, which confirmed Pamela Anderson, Paul O’Grady and actor Brian Blessed are in the cast.
And tickets have nearly sold out as a result.
The theatre’s spokesman Mark Jones said: “Since we announced this the phone’s been ringing off the hook. Obviously we’re incredibly pleased with the response we’ve had.
“All the national TV shows have been in touch along with every newspaper in the country and even some random papers and magazines across Europe.”
Anderson, 42, will swap her famous red bathing suit for something less revealing when she takes to the stage.
And Mr Jones added the theatre was ready to cope with such a high-profile star having already staged a birthday celebration for Prince Charles, which included a performance from Robin Williams.
He said: “We’ll obviously make sure Pamela has one of the nicest dressing rooms but she’s part of a company and won’t be given any extra star treatment.”
Producers are still to let the genie out the lamp and release the identity of a fourth high-profile star to share the panto lead alongside Anderson, Wax and O’Grady.
