A car being pursued by police has been in a crash with another vehicle in Wimbledon this afternoon.
Police have shut a part of Durnsford Road in Wimbledon following the incident at about 12.30pm.
A Merton police spokeswoman said a blue Ford Focus, believed to be stolen, was being chased by officers from Wandsworth police.
It crashed into a Nissan Micra in Durnsford Road.
Two people had to be freed from the Micra by firefighters, who cut the roof off the vehicle.
Police said the pair were taken to a south London hospital and their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Four men from the Focus were arrested and taken to a police station in Wandsworth.
The southbound section of Durnsford Road, between Stuart Road and Ryfold Road, is closed, affecting the 156 bus route.
