Bus crunches wall in Mitcham crash

This the moment a bus made an unexpected stop in Mitcham.

The vehicle crashed through a wall in Holborn Way at 6am on Sunday morning - blocking it the road for three hours.

The bus hit the central reservation before smashing into the wall near the junction with Sadler Close.

A police spokesman said the cause of the crash was still unknown.

The bus driver and the driver of a silver Toyota Avensis were both taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with minor injuries following the crash, after which council workers were called to move debris from the road.
