A Tube drivers' union plans to picket a comedy movie opening next week because they say the issue it deals with is just not funny.
Aslef general secretary Keith Norman said union members would be handing out flyers at the premiere of Three and Out, a movie starring Mackenzie Crook as a Tube train driver who tries to get someone to jump under his train so he can claim compensation.
"These incidents can mean life-changing traumas for drivers.
A spokesman for the film said it dealt sensitively with serious issues but also made viewers laugh and cry.
Union members plan to hand out leaflets reading: "We hope you enjoy the movie tonight, but please remember that for train drivers like ourselves, deaths on the railway are never funny."
