A teenager had to be taken to hospital last week after a stabbing near Colliers Wood.
People took to social media on the night of August 9 saying police had cordoned off Runnymede and were escorting them out of the area.
Met Police have now said that just before 10pm, officer and the London Ambulance Service were called to Yarborough Road at the junction with Runnymede following reports of a stabbing.
A 17-year-old girl was taken to a south London hospital for treatment to a laceration to her arm as a result of the incident.
A Met spokesman said that no offences have been disclosed at this point.
