When you see a bride or groom running for the hills it is usually a case of cold feet.
But for this Wimbledon couple it was just the opposite.
Daniel Carey, 33, and Jade Wollett, 27 took part in a 1km obstacle course that saw bride and grooms-to-be compete for the chance to win £8000 towards their upcoming nuptials.
The couple, who met in Fiji five years ago playing beach volleyball, were thrilled with the win.
“We were really looking forward to the race today and cannot believe we’ve won," Ms Wollett said.
"There was such tough competition.
"We cannot wait to use our prize to make our wedding even more amazing.”
The 40 brides and grooms ran through Westminster Bridge, past Westminster Abbey, before crossing the finishing line at Battersea Park, during which time the couples faced challenges like hurling bouquets, a ‘balloon slalom’ and a torrential downpour (delivered by powerful sprinklers).
