A full-time outdoor nursery for children aged two to five has received its first Queen’s Award.
Little Forest Folk on Barham Road, won the award for ‘Enterprise for Innovation’ which awards companies that go above and beyond in their area of expertise.
The award also rewards businesses for outstanding achievements in international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
Little Forest Folk Founder Leanna Barrett said: “It is a huge honour to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
“We are absolutely delighted to have our innovative approach to education recognised by the Queen.
“What an amazing day for an organisation established just 3 years ago to give our own children a better childhood
The nursery was launched in 2015 and is outdoor focused, child-led and play based and covers seven areas of learning in the EYFS required by all schools and pre-school nurseries.
