Today is Woolly Hat Day 2018, so to celebrate the occasion we’d love to see photos of you in your favourite cosy headgear.

Now in its eighth year, the day encourages people to don beanies, caps and berets to help charity St Mungo's raise money and awareness to support homeless people.

Ed Sheeran is supporting the event, and said: “Homelessness is on the rise. Please join me in Woolly Hat Day. Put on a hat, share a selfie and donate to St Mungo's, and help change a person's life who is homeless or at risk of rough sleeping. If we put our heads together we can end homelessness."

Holby City and Strictly star Chizzy Akudolu said: “St Mungo's are a great charity doing great work in ending homelessness. Getting involved is easy. Put on a hat, take a selfie and make a donation, as you will be helping to make a difference to a person's life.”

Also send us a photo of yourself in your favourite hat following the upload instructions below. Who’s got the best bobble out there or can strike the most stylish pose in their hat?

Don’t forget to give some money to the charity after sharing your selfie.
