Children had the chance to meet Santa and his elf at the Wimbledon Village Stables Carol Concert which raised an amazing £1,950 for the Royal Marsden Cancer charity.

The concert, held on Friday (December 2), was sold out within hours of the tickets being released last month, and created a special atmosphere as carols were sung by candlelight.

As well as Santa, other VIP guests included Mayor of Merton Cllr Marsie Skeete, Leader of Merton Council Stephen Alambritis and the Chairman of the Wimbledon Village Business Association Adrian Mills.

The concert was sponsored by Andrew Scott Robinson estate agents.

A spokesperson for Wimbledon Village Stables said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to our sponsor and to all the wonderful volunteers with whose help we managed to raise an amazing £1950 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.”
