A large number of Southern Rail trains have had to be cancelled this morning because trains couldn't leave the depot.
Early this morning (November 30), Network Rail told Southern a points failure at the train maintenance depot near Selhurst meant trains couldn't leave.
Points are sections of track which move and allow trains to switch from one line to another.
Their failure meant the trains couldn't leave the Selhurst depot and they couldn't start their work for the day.
The problem had been fixed by engineers at 6.10am and the trains could leave the depot, but by that stage the damage to morning timetables had already been done.
Trains running across the entire Southern network may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes, or revised.
The disruption is expected to continue until 9.15am.
