Itsu is set to open in Wimbledon and its inviting 1,200 people from local businesses to celebrate with free lunch.

The Asian-inspired restaurant chain will open in Wimbledon Bridge with seating for over 80 and is the first of three London locations opening its doors before Christmas.

The menu will include sushi, salads and a brand new hot menu of udon noodles and rice bowls. With the store offering locals the chance to claim free food over the next few weeks.

Manager Silverio Quintal said: “We are really pleased to have opened our shop in Wimbledon and we are overwhelmed by the positive response from residents. Our new shop has created 25 jobs in the local area and we’ve worked hard to get the shop before Christmas. We hope the people of Wimbledon will be pleased with the outcome!”

Itsu has been creating delicious, affordable and healthy, Asian inspired food since 1997 with 70 shops across the UK, Wimbledon being its 71st store.

The expansion programme continues next year with a further 10 stores due to open.
