Public transport means different things to different people.
Some will see it as the daily grind, representing delays, overcrowding and stress.
Others will look at it with a more misty-eyed view, providing a link to the past and simpler times.
Members of News Shopper’s camera club on Facebook were asked to share photos on the theme of public transport, and they obliged with some interesting, creative and evocative photos showing some of its many facets.
The gallery above shows a selection of their work featuring London buses, trains, Tube, boats and cable car.
The News Shopper Camera Club is a group on Facebook for people looking to get their photos from around south-east London and north Kent published online and in print.
Now with more than 280 members, the club invites people to share their best photos from around the area, as well as talk to fellow photographers, join in projects and enter competitions.
