Nearly 40 vehicles from 15 manufacturers were recalled last month due to faulty parts, accessories or other concerns.

American car company Chrysler recalled nine of its vehicles alone because of fears of a defective front passenger airbag, while Renault is calling one back because the gearbox may not hold a certain position and let the car roll away.

Other manufacturers included Bentley, Mazda, Aston Martin, TESLA and Mercedes-Benz.

The full list of vehicles with their potential issues are as follows:

(1) Porsche

- Particle filter bracket may detach (Panamera 4S Diesel)

(2) Nissan

- Headlamp auto aim function may not operate (Leaf)

(3) Chrysler

- Front passenger airbag may rupture during a development event (Chrysler Aspen and 300) (Dodge Challenger, Charger, Dakota, Durango, Magnum, RAM and Sprinter) (Jeep Wrangler)

(4) Mercedes-Benz

- Front axle housing may break (Actros)

(5) Hyundai

- Fuel pipe connecting the fuel filter to the high pressure pump may leak (iLoad, with Euro 6 Diesel engine)

(6) TESLA

- Passenger airbag may not deploy (Model X)

(7) Skoda

- Parts of seat belt pretensioner may be dislodged on deployment (Yeti and Rapid)

(8) BMW

- Brake switches may be activated permanently (5 Series Saloon and Touring, 7 Series and 7 Series LWB)

- Front suspension could fail (Motorcycles: R 1200 GS - K50, K5/11, R 1200 GS Adventure - K51)

(9) SEAT

- Air conditioning high pressure hose may be fitted incorrectly (Ibiza)

(10) Aston Martin

- Transmission can change gear without control from driver and hydraulic contractor may leak (Vantage)

- Tyre pressure monitoring system incorrectly set (DB11)

(11) Mazda

- Brake hose retaining clip may fail (Mazda2 and Mazda CX-3)

(12) Renault

- Gearbox may fail to hold in park position 'p' and vehicle could roll away (Zoe)

(13) Bentley

- Loss of power steering assistance (Continental Supersports and Continental Supersports Convertible)

(14) Peugeot

- Starter relay may overheat (Traveller and Expert 4)

(15) Citroen

- Starter relay may overheat (Spacetourer and Jumpy 4)
