A man from Raynes Park threatened to kill members of the public, including a mental health worker, the day before he assaulted a paramedic.
Omar Loveridge, of Meadowview Road, made the threats to police officers in his flat on August 8.
On August 9, he assaulted a paramedic inside an ambulance as it travelled through Sutton.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to threats to kill and assault, and was jailed for 12 weeks at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on August 10.
He will serve an additional eight-weeks for a previous racially-aggravated assault on a police officer in June which he had been given a suspended sentence for.
He will also pay £115 to victim services.
