A former aid to an ex-Tory minister charged with rape has pleaded not guilty at court.

Jonathan Boulton, 27, is accused of raping a woman six times at a Wimbledon address in April last year.

He appeared at Kingston Crown Court yesterday, August 8, to enter his plea.

Boulton, from Stockwell, was a speechwriter and media adviser to former minister for civil society Rob Wilson.

The former Queen Mary University of London student was arrested in Teddington in April.

He had reportedly stopped working for the ex-MP for Reading East around the same time of the alleged offences.

A trial at Kingston Crown Court will take place on January 15.
