Three musicians from Merton have been performing in a city-wide competition to find London's best busker.

Corbett & Susannah Hardwick, both from Wimbledon, are competing in the Soloists & Duos category of Gigs, the Mayor of London's annual busking competition.

They are up against 31 other competitors from across London looking to be crowned winners of the same category.

Niamh Grimes, from Cannon Hill, is competing in the Youth category, and will compete against nine other competitors.

The street musicians will entertain passengers across the city, in 19 different locations, from July 22 to August 6. The performers will be watched by a panel of industry professionals who will select the final five to make the final.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “London is a global capital of culture and we have produced some of the world’s greatest musicians. Many of them start out by busking and our Gigs competition gives them a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work. Over the next couple of weeks, you can enjoy brilliant performances from buskers competing to be crowned the capital’s top musicians and songwriters. Good luck to all those taking part.”

Gigs Grand Final will take place on Sunday 3 September at Westfield London.
