More than 70 firefighters tackled a fire at a car breakers yard Erith.
A large section of the site in Landau Way was alight and 40 members of staff were evacuated from nearby premises.
Ten fire engines from stations including Erith, Bexley, Plumstead, East Greenwich and Eltham were at the scene.
London Fire Brigade was called at 5.34pm on Friday (July 21) and the blaze was under control by 8.30pm.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
