A man from Teddington has been charged with six counts of rape at an address in Wimbledon.

Jon Boulton, of Allbrook Close, worked for the former Conservative MP for Reading East.

Boulton was a speechwriter and media adviser to former minister for civil society Rob Wilson.

The charges relate to alleged offences involving a woman in her 20s at an address in Wimbledon in April last year. The 27-year-old had denied the allegations at the time.

He is on bail and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, July 12.
