A person has died after being hit by a train at Woking station, leading to delays of up to an hour on South West Trains services.
British Transport Police (BTP) were called to Woking station just before 9.20am to reports of a person hit by a train.
Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance joined officers at the station but the person was pronounced dead.
A BTP spokesman said work was underway to identify the person and inform their family.
They added that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
A South West Trains spokesman said delays were expected to continue until 12pm.
"Emergency services are dealing with an incident between Surbiton and Woking and this is causing disruption to journeys through Woking.
"The location of the incident causes a knock on effect as many lines pass through the area. Trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or diverted.
