The trial of a man from Raynes Park who was arrested after a sawn-off rifle and £4,000 worth of cannabis were found on a train in Northampton has been delayed.
Tyrel Thompson, 20, of Kingston Road, is charged with possessing a shotgun without a certificate and possession with intent to supply cannabis.
British Transport Police were called to a train travelling between Birmingham and London after a report that two people onboard were carrying weapons and drugs on July 26.
Officers boarded the train at Northampton and a search recovered a sawn-off rifle and a kilogram of cannabis with a street value of about £4,000.
Mr Thompson, who denies the charges, was arrested at the scene.
He was due to appear before Northampton Crown Court today but the trial has been deferred until Monday, January 23.
