As RideLondon returns to the roads of south west London and north Surrey, those looking to travel by train instead of car may wish to check planned engineering works before setting out.

Works are going to affect parts of the network across the region, on July 30 and 31.

Clapham Junction

Works on the London Overground will affect some services in and out of Clapham Junction this weekend.

No trains will run between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction.

Buses will run between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.

Teddington

Engineering work is taking place between Teddington and Shepperton, closing the lines.

Trains between London Waterloo and Shepperton will be amended to run between London Waterloo and Twickenham, calling additionally at Strawberry Hill.

Rail replacement buses will run from outside Teddington Library. 

Gatwick Express

There are changes to the Gatwick express line which may affect holidaymakers.

On Saturday, July 30, trains will depart London Victoria at 00 and 30 minutes past the hour and will depart Gatwick Airport at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.

On Sunday, July 31, until approximately 06:30, buses will replace trains between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.

From 06:30 until 10:00, a half-hourly train service will operate.

From 10:00 until 21:00, a full service will operate.

From 21:00, a half hourly-service will operate as follows:

Trains will depart London Victoria at 00 and 30 minutes past the hour.

Trains will depart Gatwick Airport at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour.
