Health and fitness were the talk of the day at a Community Celebration Event in Mitcham over the bank holiday weekend.
The event, held on Saturday, May 28, aimed to bring together young people and their families to showcase the work of healthy schools programme providers across the borough, as well as letting people know about the different healthy activities available locally.
The free day at Canon’s House, off Madeira Road, included circus skills, exercise sessions and challenges, an inflatable slide and sumo suits, as well as stalls from local groups including Sustainable Merton.
