Morden Library will reveal vintage 20th century photographs of Merton’s community throughout the ages at the Merton Heritage Discovery day, on top of having an open air cinema and kid’s archaeology activities.

This Saturday, visitors are welcomed to the Morden Library for a day of fun filled family activities, all of which are free.

Highlights include a screening of local World War I footage, history talks and a children’s craft workshop.

In addition the Discovery Day will have stalls from Merton’s museums and will launch the new Carved in Stone website which will make information and personal stories about the First World War available to the public online.

Residents can send in stories they might have about relatives that lived in Merton during World War I to local.studies@merton.gov.uk
