A clinic in Surrey is giving parents the chance to have their children vaccinated with individual measles, mumps and rubella inoculations.

The jabs are an alternative to the highly controversial combined MMR vaccine which was rumoured to have a link with autism - although there is no scientific evidence proving this.

The clinic is being hosted by Healthchoice UK at The Grove Medical Centre in New Malden on Saturday, May 26, between 9am and 4pm.

Kathryn Durnford, managing director of Healthchoice UK, said: "There is evidence to suggest that some parents do not wish their children to receive the triple MMR jab.

"It's important, therefore, that they have the choice of single vaccines so that their children are protected."

Each individual measles or rubella injection costs £100, while mumps injections cost £140 each. Egg-free measles injections cost £120.

For an appointment call Healthchoice UK on 0870 443 9980 by Friday afternoon.
