CCTV images have been released of two people police want to speak to after a man was assaulted for intervening in a fight between a man and a woman.
The 49-year-old victim stepped in when he heard the man threaten the woman on platform eight of Wimbledon station, just before 10pm on Saturday, October 3.
Police say he was then attacked by the man and another man, who punched him in the face, knocked him to the ground and kicked him.
Detective Constable Michael Stephenson said: "The victim's nose was broken, and he sustained cuts and bruises in an assault which would have shocked and frightened anyone who witnessed it.

"Violence of this kind is rare on the rail network. When it happens, it is vital that we find those responsible.
"I think the men in the image we are issuing today have information about this incident. Who are they?"
