Restaurants in Wandsworth and Richmond have been praised in the latest Michelin guide released unexpectedly this afternoon.

The hotly-anticipated guide which reveals newly-awarded Michelin stars was expected to be published tomorrow but was reportedly released early by a bookshop.

In addition to stars, the guide also awards hotels and restaurants Bib Gourmands for serving good quality, good value food.

Restaurants judged as “particularly pleasant establishments” are awarded a knife and fork emblem.

Chez Bruce, in Wandsworth Common received two knife and forks for its French food.

The Glasshouse in Kew, which already has a Michelin star, was also awarded two knives and forks.

Soif in Battersea Rise, which serves French food and wine, retained its Bib Gourmand.

Bibo in Upper Richmond Road, Putney also kept its Bib Gourmand.

Southfields gastropub The Earl Spencer was the only Wandsworth restaurant to lose its Bib Gourmand.
