A shooting in Mitcham, a park assault and thefts – they are all appeals police need your help with.

Months after incidents including an assault on a female dog walker in a park, a fight in Wimbledon and a cinema assault, officers are appealing to the public to help solve the crimes.

CRIME 1: Four months after two men were shot at and a group of men armed with a baseball bat chased a car, police are appealing for information to track down those responsible.

Wimbledon Times:

Specialist firearms officers were alerted to shots being fired in Bennetts Close, Mitcham, pictured above, at about 12.35pm on Monday, March 30.

The gunman had fled by the time police arrived.

A witness described seeing a man enter from the park at the end of Bennetts Close and fire towards the two men before running back into the park.

Police said around ten minutes earlier, men armed with baseball bats had been seen chasing a silver people carrier down Tamworth Lane, Mitcham.

CRIME 2: A man wearing far too much aftershave is still being hunted by police for assaulting a female dog walker in the early hours.

A woman in her forties was grabbed by a man in King George’s Recreation Park, Morden, before being pushed to the ground at about 6.15am on Thursday, June 25.

The man grabbed at her jacket of the woman, who had been walking her dog, before running off towards Aragon Road.

Nearly one month on, there is still no news on the man, who is described as a white male, with tanned, possibly olive skin, around 6ft, and is in his mid to late twenties.

He had dark eyes, dark stubble and was wearing a blue hooded top with the hood pulled up and dark trousers or tracksuit bottoms.

The smell of his aftershave was overpowering, police said.

They were bailed to return to the station in August, but officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Police were called at about 8.10pm on that day and the youngsters had dispersed.

A group matching the description of the males were seen in South Park Gardens.

CRIME 4: Three men have been re-bailed until August after a man was found unconscious with head injuries outside the Odeon cinema in Wimbledon.
