There was traffic carnage in Wimbledon last night after a Mini collided with a Vauxhall and flipped over onto its side, smashing into two other cars.
The 40 year-old driver of the dark coloured Mini which rolled onto its side after colliding with a silver Vauxhall escaped with minor facial injuries.
The Vauxhall, pictured above, sustained serious damage to the front and two other parked cars including a Lexus were damaged when the other cars hit them.
The driver of the Vauxhall did not need medical attention although an ambulance was called as a precaution.
Alexandra Road, Wimbledon, was closed for a considerable amount of time while emergency services dealt with the incident.
New Malden and Wimbledon firefighters were called just before 8pm last night.
New Malden watch manager Ray Foster said: "The driver of the Mini was really lucky to escape with cuts to his face.
"The cars smashed into other parked cars including a Lexus.
"The Lexus was hit by the Mini when it rolled over."
Mr Foster said there was a lot of debris scattered across the road, which remained closed for some time while it was cleared.
The smash happened outside Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.
