Matthew Bourne’s The Car Man at New Wimbledon Theatre Audiences are invited to fasten their seatbelts as Matthew Bourne’s The Car Man races into the New Wimbledon Theatre this weekend.

The Car Man is loosely based on Bizet’s famous opera Carmen, but moves the action from a 19th century Spanish cigarette factory to a greasy garage-diner in 1960’s America.

Artist Andrew Hewkin will show off his paintings this Sunday.

The paintings include a series based on his travels up the Mississippi Delta and the Blues Trail in spring last year.

A spokesman for Wimbledon Fine Art said: "We are confident you will enjoy the great vibrancy and passion expressed in the work at the show."

Alice disappears down that famous rabbit hole again for some truly mad adventures in the strange and magical world of Wonderland.

The Colour House Children's theatre once again pulls the rabbit from the hat in this wonderful new musical adaptation of this famous tale.

A budding writer and entrepreneur, 11-year-old Henry Patterson, will be appearing at the Igloo Store in Wimbledon for a book signing and Q&A.

A double bill of new writing from playwright Neil Smith, which brings together the darkly comic stories of two unconnected couples, crippled by the reverberations of shared guilt.
