Drawings of their homes have scooped school children prizes in a competition run by a local estate agent.

Lucky winners from Cranmer Primary School who got creative now have certificates and WH Smith vouchers to spend as part of the Andrews Estate Agents competition.

The children visited the business in Upper Green East, Mitcham last month to see how an estate agent worked and went away to draw their own homes and write about what they liked about them.

Staff then picked their favourites out of more than 90 entries from years three and four at the Mitcham school.

Aidan Simms, eight, was crowned first place in year four, with Fayaz Miah winning the year three group.

Staff visited the school on Tuesday to present the prizes.

Natasha Barnes, senior sales negotiator at Andrews Estate Agents said: "It was quite exciting for us to be involved in the community and we enjoyed looking at the pictures and picking winners.

"They had taken time to draw something that is part of our job role every day."

A selection of the drawings are on display at the estate agents.

It is the first time the Andrews Young Estate Agent of the Year competition has been held, and the business is hoping to organise another one in the future following its success.
