A KILLER who shot a complete stranger in the head because he wolf whistled at a girl was jailed for at least 22 years today.

Gavin Brown, 34, pulled a sawn-off shotgun on 24-year-old Craig McGhee and fired at him from just a few feet away.

At the High Court in Glasgow today, judge Michael O'Grady sentenced Brown to life, and ordered that he should not be eligible to apply for parole for 22 years.

He told Brown: "Two things are apparent. The first is that you are a very dangerous man. The second is that you are a very wicked man."

Members of Craig's family in the court shouted: "Yes" as Brown was led away to start his sentence.

Craig died instantly outside his aunt's home at Kenmore Street in the East End of Glasgow, on May 1, 2004.

During Brown's trial, the jury heard how the attack happened after a striptease show at a pub.

Mr McGhee wolf whistled at two girls, one of whom Brown's brother's former girlfriend.

Brown of Drygrange Road, Glasgow, armed himself with a gun, tracked down Mr McGhee and shot him dead.
