The inquest into the death of a British hotelier thought to have been killed by a hitman in St Lucia begins today.

The parents of 38-year-old Oliver Gobat, Theo and Helen, who own a home in Esher, have been trying to find answers since their son died on April 26 last year.

His body was found burnt in the passenger seat of his Range Rover in the Cap Estate on the north-East tip of the island.

He had been shot twice in the head, before his body was torched in the car.

Mr Gobat attended King’s College School in Wimbledon and his parents live in Esher.

The inquest begins at 10am at Woking Coroner's Court.
