A school dance crew have qualified for the street dance world championships after less than a year of performing together.

The teenagers, aged between 15 and 18 years-old from Raynes Park High School have secured a place at the UDO World Street Dance Championships in Glasgow this August.

The group, who will also be defending their UK Schools Street Dancing title at another competition in June, qualified at an event in Peterborough on Sunday, March 22.

Make it Rayne have been placed in the top three of all street dance competitions they have entered so far, and hope for more of the same success this summer.

Amy McGullion, head of the Raynes Park High School dance academy said: “To have qualified for a street dance world championship in less than a year of performing together is an absolutely outstanding achievement.

“We are so proud of all the hard work that the students have put in and this is well deserved recognition of their talent.”

The UDO World Street Dance Championships will take place from Saturday, August 29 to Sunday, August 30 in Glasgow.
