A new state-of-the-art health centre opens in Wimbledon in April after nearly two years of construction.
Nelson Health Centre, in Kingston Road, was built on the former site of Nelson Hospital and will be managed by Community Health Partnerships (CHP).
The health centre will provide a range of primary care and community services to residents, including the relocation of The Canon Hill Lane Medical Practice and The Church Lane Practice, endoscopy, x-ray, ultrasound and blood tests.
Other services include outpatient clinics and physiotherapy, community mental health services and community pharmacy services.
Jamie Andrews, area director at CHP, said: "We are delighted that this state-of-the-art, spacious, modern health centre has reached practical completion and is set to play a significant role in developing and improving the quality of health and social care services for residents of Merton and the wider local community."
The health centre will open on April 1.
