A Merton policeman will be hauled before magistrates today after being charged with ‘sexual touching’ and harassment.
PC Irshad Kamal, 44, a police constable based in the borough, was charged last night with the two offences and was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said PC Kamal had been suspended from duty and that the alleged offences occurred while he was off-duty.
