Disney film Frozen will take centre stage at a Christmas lights switch on this month.

There will be a showing of the children’s film with a sing-a-long at Mitcham Fair Green on Thursday, November 27, from 3.30pm.

The free screening will start at 4pm, with festive lights switch on at 5.30pm. There will be real reindeer, Santa Claus in his grotto, a Christmas market and carol singing at the event organised by Merton Council.

A Fairtrade Fair will be held on Thursday, November 27 at Morden Baptist Church in Crown Lane.

It will be held from 7pm to 9pm for Fairtrade and ethical Christmas shopping.

Entry costs £1 including a free drink.

On Sunday, November 30, Love Wimbledon will host the Winter Wonderland in The Broadway.

The town centre will be pedestrianised for the afternoon from 12pm to 6pm.

There will be a main stage with entertainment, a Christmas market, children’s activities and fairground rides.

The day will end with a spectacular fireworks display from Centre Court Shopping Centre at 5.30pm.

The event is free.

On Friday, December 5 MyRaynesPark is organising the Raynes Park Christmas Festival with live music around the Christmas tree, Santa’s grotto, a children’s advent calendar, and a live nativity.

There will be real farm animals as well as late night shopping, free mince pies and a range of refreshments to purchase.

The event will be held from 3.30pm to 7pm and is suitable for all ages.

The Christmas tree and some live music will be held outside the train station, Santa’s grotto at the Raynes Park Tavern, the nativity outside Waitrose, and carol singing outside Absolute Abode in Coombe Lane and the health centre in Lambton Road.

In Morden town centre on the same day, is Light Up Morden, complete with choirs, performances, a mobile cinema and vintage cars, as well as food and lots of festive spirit.

It will be held from 4pm to 7pm.
