Police are searching for a man riding a mobility scooter following an attack that left another with a broken jaw.

Wimbledon Times:

The 31-year-old victim was walking home from work when two men, including one that was on a mobility scooter, attacked him, police said.

The man was pushed backwards and hit his head on the pavement in Garratt Lane, near the Southside Shopping Centre, on Friday, July 25, at 11pm.

Both suspects, along with a woman, who was not involved in the attack, fled towards Wandsworth High Street.

Despite enquiries, the police have been unable to identify the scooter-riding man and his companions.

Three months later they are appealing to the public to help identify the people in these CCTV images.

Wimbledon Times:

Detective Constable Chris Taylor, from Wandsworth CID, said: “This attack was completely unprovoked. The victim had just finished the late shift at a local supermarket and was on his way home.

“We know the suspects had been in the Cineworld cinema prior to the offence and came out of the Southside Centre and on to Garratt Lane.

“We are issuing CCTV images of the group and I would hope that someone would be able recognise them.”

The first man is described as white, aged 20 to 25, and was wearing black T-shirt and red baseball hat. The second man was white, aged 40 to 45, and was riding a mobility scooter.
