The teenager fighting for his life after being brutally stabbed in broad daylight at the Rose Hill roundabout is in a 'serious but stable condition' the Metropolitan Police have said.

The boy, believed to be 15 years old, was thought to have become involved in a fight with 'a number of males' on the 151 bus in Angel Hill at around 2.30pm today, Friday, October 24.

Officers from Sutton police found the boy had got off the bus and had walked around 250 yards before collapsing opposite KFC.

His injuries were said to be life threatening.

One witness, who has asked not to be named said: "It made me feel cold. It was really horrible.

"I just got off the 164 bus I saw a young boy laid on the floor. There were about three officers set about him.

"Then all of a sudden a few minutes later it went a bit manic and bit mad.

"It must have been about 10 police cars that turned up.

"A rapid response car and ambulance also turned up.

"That must have been about five minutes after."

A spokesman for Sutton police said: "The medical air ambulance was called but the victim was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

"The victim is believed to have been stabbed.

"His injuries are described as life threatening. He is being treated in the resuscitation unit.

"The bus is being examined by forensic officers.

"Officers are at the crime scene which stretches several hundred yards along Angel Hill towards to Rose hill roundabout."

Keiron Henry said he was walking through Rose Hill Park when the London Air Ambulance landed.

He said: "The helicopter came down.

"I walked on and the police stopped me and told me I couldn't go on.

"They have closed the whole area off, but I think it happened between the Barclays and KFC."
