Amateur and professional artists exhibited their work last week at a special exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of Merton Art Society.
More than 30 pictures were displayed at the Norman Plaistow Village Hall in Lingfield Road, Wimbledon, from Wednesday to Saturday.
Veterinary worker and Merton Art Society member Jackie Belle's squirrel painting was chosen as top entry in a competition judged by Fielders Art Shop owner, Ian Fielder.
Deborah Mandelli, art society chairman, said: "It was a lovely venue, beautiful gallery, lovely atmosphere and a large number of people took part."
The society was founded in 1963 following an exhibition organised by Merton Council featuring a number of artists who then decided to form a group with regular meetings and exhibitions.
Mrs Mandelli said: "We always welcome new members. If you're interested in painting and art, it's really motivating to get together in a group of like-minded people and get encouraged and inspired."

The group meets one Tuesday a month at the Methodist Church, Martin Way, Morden, for talks, practical sessions and critique sessions. It also exhibits twice a year and is open to beginners, painters and non-painters.
