Disruption to the railways this morning meant commuters had to get off a train at Wimbledon Chase and wait for another train.
First Capital Connect services from St Albans and Luton to Sutton were cancelled due to a train fault. According to the company’s website, the 08:39 service from Sutton to St Albans service and the 10:14 service going in the reverse direction were cancelled due to a train fault.
The service passes through Mitcham Eastfields, Mitcham Junction, Hackbridge and Carshalton on its way to its destination.
Commuters passing through Wimbledon Chase at 8.40am this morning were told to get off the train and had to wait 20 minutes for another service on the same route.
