Another Wimbledon school has expressed its delight over its ‘best ever’ GCSE results today.

Ursuline High School claim the results are the school’s best ever, with 87 per cent of youngsters achieving five A* to C grades including English and maths, and 42.3 per cent of all grades coming in at A and A* grades.

A statement from the school said students had made exemplary progress across all subjects, especially religious education, English literature and maths which achieved 98 per cent, 97 per cent and 91 per cent respectively at A* to C grades, while over 44 per cent of girls achieved an A* or A in maths.

Ms Waters, headteacher Ursuline High School said: "Staff and students have risen to meet this year’s challenges through sheer grit and determination and have produced amazing GCSE results.

"I would like to thank all our parents, carers and governors for their continuing support and the Local Authority and PiXL for their advice and guidance.”

A statement from the school said: “Students worked conscientiously and with determination to master their subject knowledge and apply the skills they had learned.

“Well done to all our students.”
