Police arrested three people in their 20s this morning and seized luxury goods worth thousands of pounds in a series of drugs raids in Mitcham and Colliers Wood.

A 26-year-old man was arrested just before 8am in Abbotts Road, Pollards Hill on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Police found more than £10,000 in cash at the address, with wads of notes and drugs found stashed behind bricks in a side alleyway.

A Rolex watch insured for nearly £6,000 and two pairs of new Christian Louboutin trainers worth £1,570 were also seized as evidence at the address.

Meanwhile officers in Figges Marsh arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a class B drugs with intent to supply.

Officers found a stash of drugs, scales and snap bags at the address as part of the early morning raid this morning.

An hour later, a 23-year-old woman was arrested for possession of cannabis in Devonshire Road, Colliers Wood.

Sergeant Steve Burke, who was on the scene at the Mitcham raids this morning, said: "That's a really really good result for the morning. Three warrants and three good results. Three people in custody."

The men and woman arrested were taken to Sutton police station.

Mitcham police officers have executed about 180 warrants since April 2013, with a success rate of finding evidence for prosecution of about 89 per cent.

Sgt Burke said: "We really want to bring home that we will action every bit of intelligence that we get."
