Police were called to The Kings Arms pub in Mitcham on Sunday.
A 46-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a woman and possessing a kitchen knife.
Winston Paul, of Clay Avenue, Mitcham, pleaded guilty to assaulting Beryl Callow in Langdale Avenue, Mitcham at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
He also faces a charge of possessing a kitchen knife in The Kings Arms pub around the corner in London Road.
Police were called to The Kings Arms pub on Sunday, July 13 and arrested Mr Paul.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court at a date not yet fixed.
