Merton primary schools will close tomorrow as the National Union of Teachers go on strike.
Merton Council is advising parents to check their school’s website this evening for any disruption during the strikes tomorrow.
Many of the 43 primary schools in the borough will be closed as teachers go on strike, with some partially open for certain classes.
Among those closed will be Abbotsbury Primary School in Morden, Beecholme Primary School in Mitcham and Pelham Primary School in Wimbledon.
Ricards Lodge High School, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School and Singlegate Primary School will be among those to be open as usual.
Teachers are in dispute with the government over pay, pensions and workload.
Members of the National Union of Teachers will go on strike tomorrow alongside Unison, Unite, Public and Commercial Services Union, Fire Brigades Union and the GMB.
