Chinese performance act Immortal Chi performed in Wimbledon Piazza ahead of their show at the New Wimbledon Theatre next month.
Conceived and directed by acclaimed Cirque director Erick Villeneuve, the pop-up performance disrupted the usually peaceful piazza in The Broadway at Wednesday lunchtime.
Immortal Chi is a brand new spectacular fusion of Chinese martial arts, multi-media images, oriental costumes and original live music.
The production, titled ‘A Warriors Quest for Harmony’, is about the extraordinary story of a Tai Chi Master and his ultimate challenge.
The preview performance included 25 performers, a diverse group of acrobats, musicians and martial artists.
Audiences can expect a fusion of traditional combat techniques, weapons, acrobatics, authentic Chinese instruments and Chinese drum girls.
