Just what every morning rush hour commuter wants on a hot summer morning on Friday - being crammed into a confined space while your train is delayed.
That was what faced passengers at Wimbledon station this morning after a broken down train at New Malden caused disruption on the SouthWest Trains network.
The delays caused queues to form from the platforms, up to the stairs, right up to the ticket barriers as temperatures reached 23 degrees Celsuis at about 8.30am.

South West Trains said The train that had developed a fault has now moved from New Malden to a depot.
The train operator also issued the following advice:
Trains between London Waterloo and Hampton Court will be reinstated from the 0806 London Waterloo to Hampton Court train. Customers may continue to use London Buses (Please refer to the alternative travel map at www.journeycheck.southwesttrains.co.uk) until the first train has run from Hampton Court which will be the 0853 Hampton Court to Waterloo.
Trains between London Waterloo and Woking (Stopper) trains will be reinstated from 0820 Waterloo to Woking and the 0820 Woking to Waterloo.

London Buses will accept customers on reasonable routes in South West London.
Southern will accept customers between London Victoria/Clapham and Epsom/Dorking
First Capital Connect will accept customers to Wimbledon
London Underground will accept customers between London stations and Wimbledon/Morden
London bound trains from Weymouth will all call at Basingstoke, Woking and Clapham Junction.
